sooooooooo, that 5.4% from two posts ago has somehow now become 3.4% and our regional manager is being a jerk about the whole thing. saying WE made a mistake in OUR ledger but they caught in THERES.

NOW here's the tricky part. for anyone here who does paper work in the morning you know how much of a pain in the ass it is. and you have to send that pain in the ass paper work to mississippi and some to the DM and RM. SO we have to fill it out and send our ledger to them so they can keep track of our sales but they have their own copies... that we didnt send to them.

I DONT UNDERSTAND!

ps, am i the only one who posts now?

So this is my first post in this community. I work at #1544 in Alexandria, VA. I was wondering if anybody else is doing the costume contest, or if its just my region. OH! and i wanted to know if it was EVERY hcf that got renovated, because that was hell for me and now everything is screwed.

I had three, count them; one, two, three people come up to the register today with mettler's poly-sheen or sulky embroidery thread. To each one I asked " are you doing embroidery? because this wont work as a sewing thread" to which each replied "Oh, I'm hand sewing with it"

It doesnt matter how you're sewing! These arn't sewing threads

We need to get the word out

What does Your Quilting Section look like? [Aug. 1st, 2005|02:29 pm]

I'm Lee, and I work at #1726 in Katy (far west Houston), TX. I'm curious as to how your quilting prints on the wall sections have been handled. The "Quilting Section Supe" decided to label each section of the wall cubbies with a number going across the top, then dropping down to the next row, and across, etc, so it looks like this:

W1  /  W2  /  W3

W4  /  W5  /  W6      on the first wall, then turns the corner, and starts with letters:

W-A  /  W-B  /  W-C   etc.

The bolts each have a circle-sticky marked with the position # of the cubby they belong in. So far, as long as "we" put them back where indicated, it works really well: keeps color groups together, and round-table "Named group" pieces from sneaking onto the walls.

What works at your store?

[music |The The "This is the Day"]

have any of your stores started the change-around? the one where EVERYTHING moves? the one that's driving me insane? god it's like my first week all over again.

BUT! a lady came in and asked why we made everything go "fruit basket turnover" which is now my favorite old timesy term

Hello! I'm Sammie. Must I say that I love working at Hancocks. But there are a few things that bother me about the customers.

-Yes we've heard of the no sew blankets. There's flyers for them there. Now stfu.
-Don't come behind the cutting table. It makes us nervous and you're in our way. It annoys me to no end.
-Don't come up and try to measure your fabric and say "o I'm supposed to have someone else cut it?" What fabric store let's you cut your own fabric?
-Don't ask me what a yard looks like. You see the yard stick, you (I hope so) sew. You should know by now.
-Deco Lining is not a quilt fabric. (I've had this asked.)
-Don't ask us to cut your 15 yards of deco fabric in 3 yard invertvals without even thinking of the repeat. That's your job.
-I'm not here to tell you how much you need to reuploster your chair.
-Don't return thread of all things. And have it put back on your credit card.
-Don't ask me if things are on sale if there's no tags from the bolt indicating so.
-No I won't cut your fabric to the excat size you need.

We just have really crazy customers.
